40 days. No signal. No one coming for you. Either you find what you've been searching for — or you don't.
"Every man I know has everything he ever wanted. And none of them know what they're doing here."
The 40 is a 40-day solo wilderness immersion on private land. No guides. No itinerary. No one to tell you what to do or who to be. You are dropped at the edge of the property with what you need to survive — and nothing more.
You have 10 objectives. You have 40 days to complete as many as you can. Each one you finish earns back $5,000 of your investment. But the objectives are not the point. They're the framework that gets you out of your head and into the land.
What happens in those 40 days is between you and yourself.
This is not a retreat. There is no facilitator. No breathwork. No ceremony. No plant medicine. No one is going to hold space for you. No one is going to hand you an insight wrapped in a blanket. This is 1,000 acres, 40 days, and whatever is left of you when the noise stops.
You apply. We review. Not everyone is accepted. This isn't for the man who wants to be challenged. It's for the man who needs to be.
30 days before your start date, you receive your objectives and a basic supply list. How you prepare is up to you. We recommend you don't over-prepare.
You are driven to the edge of the property and left. You have your gear, your supplies, and the coordinates of the cabin. The rest is yours.
A single patrol passes the perimeter daily — unseen, unreachable unless you call the sat phone. You are alone. Genuinely alone. That is the point.
On day 40, we come back for you. Whatever you completed, you earned. Whatever changed, you own. No debrief unless you want one.
Each objective is physical, mental, and intentional. Complete all ten and you've earned back half your investment. Most men complete six or seven. A few complete all ten. None of them come back the same.
Friction fire only. No matches, no lighter. Document it.
Seven consecutive days from the land only. No stored supply.
You kill it, you clean it, you cook it. From scratch.
Sleep one full night in something you built with your hands from what the land provides.
Write an honest letter to someone you've wronged. Seal it. Decide what to do with it.
Travel two miles from the cabin and return using nothing but the night sky.
No speaking. No humming. No deliberate noise. Seven consecutive days.
Identify the one decision you've been avoiding. Write it down. Make it.
Given in a sealed envelope on day one. You open it alone.
Given in a sealed envelope on day one. You open it alone.
Two objectives are revealed only when you are alone. No past participant has ever disclosed them. We intend to keep it that way.
Before you are dropped, you receive a wooden crate. Inside it is everything we provide — made by hand, by real people, using materials from the earth. No manufactured goods. No shortcuts. These are not supplies. They are your companions for 40 days. They go home with you when it's over.
Every item in the crate was made by a person who knew what it was for. Their hands built the thing that might save your life. That's not a detail. That's the point.
Both are valid. The land doesn't care either way.
Composite journal fragments. Not from a real participant. Not entirely fictional either.
We don't track what happens after.
But we hear things.
The first run of The 40 will accept six participants. Applications are reviewed manually. Not everyone will be offered a spot.
Investment: $50,000. Dates TBD based on land acquisition and participant cohort. You'll be contacted when we're ready.
If you're asking whether this is for you — it probably isn't. If you already know — join the list.
You're on the list.
We'll be in touch when the land is ready.
